This is a wonderful dance, and super easy for new dancers. You learn what is ACROSS the set, what is UP and DOWN the set, what a BACK to BACK (aka Dosido) is, and a TWO-HAND TURN (or Swing), plus a very useful bit of foot-work, namely the chassé (which we in America call a "sashay"). The chassé is simply step to the side, step together, and step to the side again. Step, together, step. Then back the other way. And if that is too complicated, you just walk.
A1 Long lines go forward and back
Walk across the set and loop around to face back in (You're on the other side!)
A2 Long lines go forward and back (again)
Walk across the set and loop around to face back in (You're back home!)
B1 Go Back to Back with your Partner (DoSiDo)
Two-hand turn your Partner
B2 Top couple chassé (sashay) to the bottom, others move up
Start over with a new top couple.
Here is a copy of the music, with melody and suggested chords.
And here is a sound file with the melody, so you can practice dancing and calling in time with the music.
